Northeast Ohio Women in Tech is co-sponsoring an event with UXPA Cleveland. They have invited three women who are leaders in their fields to discuss their personal experiences working in the tech industry. Common challenges, successes and opportunities.
Speakers:
- Megan Kacvinsky is Partner, Client Services at Point To Point, in charge of leading the Client Services team. Under her leadership, the company’s client relationships have consistently experienced double-digital growth and client retention over 95%. She frequently speaks on topics to include demand generation, integrated marketing strategies and trends in B2B marketing. In 2014, Megan received a “Women of Professional Excellence” award from the YWCA of Greater Cleveland. She is also a member of the Beaumont School board of directors. Megan received a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing and human resources from Miami University and a master’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.
- Amanda Drvenkar is the Quality Assurance Manager for the Value Based Care sector of IBM Watson Health. Her teams are responsible for Software, Hadoop Platform and Data Quality for IBM. Before joining the company in 2015, Amanda worked for MRI Software for 8.5 years. There, she held many roles in Support and Development, the latest being the Director of Quality Assurance and Release Engineering. Her focus is on delivering high-quality software while still meeting compliance and process requirements. The balance between Waterfall and Agile methodologies is powerful for Stakeholders as well as the creative minds of engineers. As an IT leader, Amanda encourages everyone, especially women, to be diligent and love their craft, as that is where true engagement and happiness starts.
- Kassey Sikora is a senior UX designer at Sherwin Williams and small business owner of Copper Cleveland, a design and creative consulting firm. She co-founded the non-profit Northeast Ohio Women in Tech with Deb Ing in 2016 to help provide education, resources and networking opportunities for women and minorities throughout Northeast Ohio’s tech community. A long-time downtown Cleveland resident, Kassey is passionate about exploring the city on the weekends and contributing to the design and tech communities by sitting on the UXPA and AIGA boards.
